What supplier qualification is
Supplier qualification is how a company checks that a new supplier meets its legal, tax, quality and compliance requirements before the vendor is created in the ERP and the first PO goes out. For US manufacturers and contractors it usually covers a W-9, business registration, a certificate of insurance at the right limits, bank details, quality or safety records such as ISO certificates or an EMR letter, and sanctions screening. Spain and Latin America call the same process homologation.
Most of the time goes into the work before the decision: requesting documents, chasing the supplier, checking expiry dates and keeping the evidence for an audit. Nora does that work end to end. Your team keeps the final approval and every exception.

Questions about Nora
What does Nora do?
Nora is Traza's AI agent for supplier homologation. When your team wants to buy from a new supplier, she collects the required documents, verifies each one, screens the company and its directors against sanctions and PEP lists, scores the supplier's risk and hands you one approval pack with the evidence attached. You make the final approval.
Which documents does Nora collect from a new supplier?
She sends the supplier a checklist in their language covering company registration, tax ID, insurance, ISO or sector certificates, bank details and a signed code of conduct. The checklist follows your own requirement set for the category, country and expected spend. She follows up every 3 business days until each document is in.
How does Nora verify supplier documents?
She reads every document and checks expiry dates and issuers. She validates the tax ID against the official registry and screens the entity and its directors against sanctions and PEP lists. Anything she is unsure about is listed in the approval pack, not hidden.
What does Nora decide on her own, and what does she ask you?
She handles document collection, screening and follow-ups on her own. She always asks a person for the final approval, for any sanctions hit and for any risk score above the threshold you set, and she gives the reason when she escalates.
How does Nora score supplier risk?
She scores financial, compliance, geographic and single-source risk on your scale. Suppliers above your threshold are escalated to your team with the reason, and the score appears in the approval pack next to the evidence behind it.
Which systems does Nora work with?
She works inside the tools your team already uses: SAP vendor master, Coupa, Gmail or Outlook, Slack, DocuSign, sanctions lists, tax registries and D&B. On approval she creates the vendor in your ERP and asks Theo, Traza's contracts agent, to draft the framework agreement.
How long does it take to start with Nora?
She starts from your existing requirement checklist and your ERP, so there is no requirement set to build from scratch. The first approval packs come from your real supplier requests during the pilot, and your team approves each one.
